Welcome to our Ranch…
Our History: Welcome to Horseshoe Hills Ranch (formerly Bar-N-Ranch). In 1941 the business opened and was operated for 60 years as a public horseback riding stable. In 2002 the public riding business closed and the ranch evolved into a horse boarding stable. Now it’s time for the third generation to take the reins. We are Lauren and Jeffrey Jacobi and it is our pleasure to continue to offer family owned and operated horse boarding in the beautiful Northern Kettle Moraine.
What We Offer: If trail riding is what you and your horse(es) enjoy, we may be the place for you! Ride South towards New Fane or North towards New Prospect and Parnell on the state trails leaving from our barn. No need for a trailer! This will connect you to 41 miles through the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forests. Horse camping is also available up the road at the New Prospect Horse Riders Camp.
We have a round pen and are currently building an outdoor arena (hoping to finish fall 25’). The hay we feed is a grassy alfalfa mix made by us off our own local fields. Our herd lives outside 24/7 all together, have free choice hay from covered feeders, and 3 pastures for their use with outbuildings for shelter. We bring them in if winter weather gets extreme. Our barn has slip stalls and mangers with feed boxes, tack rooms that have been newly expanded, and an outdoor wash area for summer use. On Sundays in May-October we bring the herd into the barn for a change of pace and visits with their people.
